Brigadoon Relaunches as an Intelligence, Community and Campaign Management Platform for Thought Leaders

Founded in 2013 as an off-the-record gathering at Sundance Mountain Resort, the Detroit-based company introduces a three-part model and a new brand promise: Be Your Ambition.

DETROIT (October 27, 2026) Brigadoon today announced its repositioning as a thought-leader platform built on three pillars: Intelligence, Community, and Campaign Management. The company, which has convened entrepreneurs, subject matter experts, and civic leaders since 2013, also confirmed its registration as Brigadoon, LLC, headquartered in Detroit, and introduced a new brand promise: Be Your Ambition.

The relaunch reflects what founder Marc A. Ross has seen across 13 years of gatherings: the people shaping commerce and culture need more than a good room. They need a clear read on what's coming, a trusted network to test ideas against, and a disciplined plan to put their point of view to work.

"The best conversations in the world aren't happening at conferences," said Marc A. Ross, Founder and Chief Campaign Strategist of Brigadoon. "For 13 years, Brigadoon has proven that. Now we're giving thought leaders the whole system: the intelligence to understand what's next, the community to sharpen it, and the campaign to make it count. Be Your Ambition. That's the assignment."

THREE PILLARS

  • Intelligence. The Brigadoon Daily and Brigadoon Weekly newsletters and the Brigadoon Radio podcast deliver analysis of how geopolitics, policy, technology, and culture are reshaping leaders' operating environment.

  • Community. Brigadoon gatherings, held under Chatham House Rule with no name tags, panels, PowerPoint, or recordings, include Brigadoon Utah | Winter Camp at Sundance Mountain Resort and Brigadoon Scotland | Remote, along with monthly calls and Brigadoon Professional, a four-tier annual membership.

  • Campaign Management. A professional services practice that helps executives, founders, civic leaders, and subject matter experts build and run thought leadership campaigns. Engagements begin with the 5-Step Thought Leader Audit, built on Brigadoon's proprietary E-STOCK Framework, and continue through campaign execution and advisory.

Brigadoon will also design and host commissioned gatherings for organizations and leaders, including private dinners, day-long convenings, multi-day retreats, and cultural safaris in emerging and creative cities. Commissioned gatherings are available on their own or as part of a Campaign Management engagement.

"Most thought leadership is noise, chasing the latest shiny-object tactic with no strategy or campaign behind it," Ross said. "We work like a landing force, not an occupying army: agile, with a global street-smarts ethos. We read the environment, identify the audiences that have to move, build the campaign and get our clients in front of the people who matter. Face-to-face connection is still the most powerful tool in the kit, and it's what Brigadoon does best."

"Brigadoon has had such a profound impact on my life," said Bob Brown, President, ISI Robotics, LLC. "Brigadoon has introduced me to strangers with whom I found immediate connection. Those people encouraged me to finish projects I'd long left for dead and inspired me to take on things I wouldn't have dreamed of trying. As Brigadoon enters this new chapter, Marc will demand it be great, and I will be there for it."

"I've spent my career building community, first to win campaigns and now to fight loneliness. Brigadoon gets it right," said Patty Roe, Founder, PS Society, and Principal, PR Strategies. "When I spoke at Winter Camp, there were no PowerPoints, just a fireside chat with people who came to really connect. As a Michigan native, I can tell you Detroit's creative, collaborative energy makes it the perfect home for Brigadoon to thrive."

"In economic development, knowing what's coming before it arrives is the job," said Nate Green, Managing Director of Economic Development, The Montrose Group, LLC. "Brigadoon gives me that edge, from the daily intelligence to the conversations at community events. It's why I was the first to sign up for Brigadoon Professional."

Brigadoon Scotland | Remote convenes next month on Loch Lomond. Brigadoon Utah | Winter Camp returns to Sundance Mountain Resort February 21–23, 2027, for its ninth winter gathering, limited to 55 participants. Brigadoon Studios, the company's publishing imprint, released its first title, 50 Negronis. Details at brigadoon.live.
